Squadron Award Nominations

Do you know a deserving cadet that should be recognized for their efforts? Nominate them for a squadron award !

Please ensure to review the criteria for each award before submitting your nominations. If you nominate a cadet for an award, ensure you submit a reason for the nomination. If you do not submit a reason(s), your submission will not count.

The nomination form will be closed on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024 at 2100hrs. 


First Aid Training

When: Saturday and Sunday (Specific date TBD)
Where: St John’s Ambulance  

Want to learn how to potentially save a life? 808 is looking to train any and all cadets interested in getting first aid certified. Please express your interest by signing up for ONE course. Sign up here! Sign in to Cadet365 to access the form.


Summer Training 2024

Cadet365

Still don’t have Cadet365 yet? You are missing out! Cadet365 is required for summer training and participation in area-directed activities. Cadet365 also offers all cadets with access to Office365 on their personal devices. See this link for onboarding instructions. Send us an email if you need your cadet email and temporary password for first-time log ins.


808 Squadron Sponsoring Committee Scholarship

808’s SSC is once again offering a scholarship to deserving cadets in Grade 12 or in their first-year of post-secondary studies. Cadets who have previously received the scholarship are not eligible to apply.

The application package and instructions are enclosed here. The deadline has been extended to 23 Apr.


Wing Effective Speaking Competition

Congratulations to FSgt Chen for coming in first place at the Metro Vancouver Wing Effective Speaking competition! She will be representing us at the Provincial Competition on 20 Apr. Good luck!


Routine Training

Drop-off: On Rochester Ave at 1815 hrs. Please do not enter the parking lot as it creates congestion and presents a hazard for our cadets. Enter through the gym doors.

Pick-up: On Rochester Ave at 2130 hrs.

Dress: Winter. If your uniform does not fit, wear the blue squadron t-shirt or white dress shirt with black pants, or FTUs.

Bring: a notebook, pens, a filled water bottle, and a snack if desired
