Staff Cadet Applications

Cadets in Level 4 or above wishing to apply for SCdt positions for summer training in 2025 should submit their application by 1800hrs on 23 Jan 25.

Effective Speaking

Please sign up if you want to practice, learn new skills, and fine-tune your public speaking. There will be eight Sessions with a Toastmasters coach on Wednesdays from 1800 to 2000 at Maillard Middle School. Starting 15 Jan to 5 Mar. Sign up closes on Monday, 13 Jan at 2200hrs.

Junior Ground School

Sign up for Junior Ground School if you have an interest in aviation and want to learn more outside of your aviation classes. Seven sessions with a specialist instructor on Fridays from 1830 to 2030hrs at Maillard Middle School. Starting 17 Jan to 28 Feb. Sign up closes on Tuesday, 14 Jan at 2200hrs.

Space Centre Tour

Sign up here for the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre tour, a fun day filled with science experiments including a rocket demonstration!
Open for Level 1, 2, and accelerated level 3 cadets.
Lunch is included. Bring an empty and clean 2L pop bottle. No transportation will be provided and cadets are responsible to find their own ride. Carpools are encouraged!

When: 25 Jan. Drop off at 0945 hrs and pick up at 1400 hrs.
Where: H.R. MacMillan Space Centre (1100 Chestnut St, Vancouver, BC V6J 3J9)

First Aid Training

Want to learn how to potentially save a life? 808 is looking to train any and all cadets interested in getting first aid certified. Please express your interest by signing up for ONE course. Sign up here!

When: Saturday and Sunday (Specific date TBD)
Where: St John’s Ambulance  

Uniform Exchange

For any new recruits/cadets, please complete this form to order your initial uniform/kitting.

For any returning cadets that need to exchange uniform parts, please complete this form out.

Still don’t have Cadet365 yet? You are missing out! Cadet365 is required to sign up for summer training and participation in area-directed activities. Cadet365 also offers all cadets with access to Office365 on their personal devices. See this link for onboarding instructions.

Routine Training

Drop-off: On Rochester Ave at 1815 hrs. Please do not enter the parking lot as it creates congestion and presents a hazard for our cadets. Enter through the gym doors.

Pick-up: On Rochester Ave at 2130 hrs.

Dress: Winter. If your uniform does not fit, wear the blue squadron t-shirt or white dress shirt with black pants, or FTUs.

Bring: a notebook, pens, a filled water bottle, and a snack if desired
